Meet the Musicians of Sazura

The artists behind the sound of Silver Gravity stories.

Mara

Mara

Vocals and Lead Singer

Amara loves the moment a song stops feeling written and starts feeling real. She’ll change a melody at the last second if the emotion takes her somewhere better, and she almost never sings a final chorus exactly the same way twice.

Before recording, she likes the studio lights low, her tea ridiculously hot, and everyone to stop talking for exactly thirty seconds while she finds the mood.

Nia

Nia

Vocals

Nia hears harmonies everywhere. Give her a melody once and she’ll immediately start building three more around it.

She loves rich stacks of vocals, unexpected ad-libs and those tiny background moments listeners only notice after their fifth play. Her quirk is recording little voice notes constantly, including in taxis, supermarkets and occasionally in the middle of conversations.

Cassie

Cassie

Vocals

Cassie is obsessed with the details that make vocals shimmer: whispered doubles, tiny harmonies, breathy textures and perfectly placed responses. .

She’s usually the one asking, “Can we try one weird version?” Her favourite pastime in the studio is convincing everyone to record something they think will never make the track, only for it to become everyone’s favourite part

Cole

Cole

Drums

Cole loves grooves that make people move before they realise they’re moving. He is precise when he needs to be, explosive when he doesn’t, and particularly fond of adding tiny rhythmic surprises into live performances.

His bandmates know he’s excited about a song when he starts drumming on tables, chairs, coffee cups or whoever happens to be sitting beside him.

Kaz

Kaz

Piano, Keys & Synths

Kaz loves building worlds. Give him a simple piano progression and ten minutes later there’ll be synth pads, strange textures, tiny electronic noises and something nobody can quite identify playing underneath it all.

He keeps hundreds of sounds with completely meaningless names like “blue rain 4” and somehow remembers exactly what every one of them is.

Tak

Tak

Guitar

Tak loves guitar parts that say a lot without taking over the song. He’ll happily spend an hour finding three perfect notes instead of playing thirty unnecessary ones.

He has a weakness for vintage guitars and cannot walk past a guitar shop without going inside.
