She's designing her future. He's preserving the past. Together, they might build something perfect.

ABOUT: When ambitious London architect Avery Chávez loses her dream job, she returns to the last place she ever thought she'd go: Havenbrook, the picture-perfect coastal town she fled six years ago. Tasked with renovating the crumbling Thistle Inn, she hopes to restore her professional reputation and mend her frayed relationship with her mother, Celi. Avery doesn't expect the project to come with a stubborn craftsman who knows the inn better than anyone.

Orion Carstairs has spent years preserving Havenbrook's heritage one historic building at a time. The Thistle isn't just another job—it's his family's legacy, and he refuses to let a big-city architect erase its soul. The problem? The architect is the woman who shattered his heart and disappeared without a backward glance.

As Avery and Orion reluctantly collaborate, their clashing visions spark heated debates and rekindle buried feelings. When a powerful developer threatens to demolish the inn, they must put aside old resentments to save it. Working side-by-side, they discover that the perfect design isn't in the blueprint—it's in the heart.

Set against the sweeping Cornish coastline and the warm embrace of Havenbrook's tight-knit community, Blueprints of the Heart is a heart-warming second-chance romance about honoring the past, embracing the future and finding home in unexpected places. Perfect for fans of Emily Henry and Jenny Colgan, this small-town love story blends professional rivalry, simmering attraction, scheming developers, family secrets and the timeless question of whether love is worth fighting for.

Get ready for a cozy escape full of heart-warming romance and seaside charm, perfect for fans of Emily Henry, Jenny Colgan, Sarah Morgan, and HGTV's Home Town.

Who Knew Urban Planning Could Be Sexy?

I was initially drawn to this book for the small-town setting, but the romance completely won me over. The author managed to make urban planning sexy - who knew zoning discussions could have such sizzle? The emotional journey of both characters felt authentic, with real growth and change. The community garden subplot provided beautiful symbolism about nurturing relationships. This book made me believe in second chances and the power of compromise.

Book Club Hit - Perfect Discussion Starter!

Our entire book club fell in love with this story! The setting of Havenbrook felt like a character itself - so richly described that we all wanted to visit. The way the author handled the gentrification themes was thoughtful and nuanced. The romance felt earned rather than rushed, with both characters having to examine their priorities and biases. The supporting cast of Oakwood residents added wonderful depth. Perfect discussion starter!

Swoon-Worthy Slow Burn Romance!

Enemies to lovers done RIGHT! The initial animosity between the characters felt justified and their gradual softening toward each other was believable. I loved the dual POV structure - seeing both perspectives on the development project added depth to the conflict. The romantic tension was perfectly paced, building beautifully to their first kiss scene (which was absolutely swoon-worthy!). The Oakwood community felt like a place I'd want to live.

Coastal Perfection - Authentically Written!

Living in a seaside town myself, I can attest to how perfectly the author captured the essence of coastal community life. The descriptions of Havenbrook's Victorian architecture and the tension between development and preservation felt incredibly authentic. The romance was beautifully developed - watching two stubborn professionals learn to compromise both professionally and personally was delightful. The final community meeting scene had me in tears of joy!

Equal Partners - Finally Done Right!

Finally, a romance novel that treats both main characters as equals! Neither was the 'fixer' - they both had to grow and change. The professional tension was handled so well, and I appreciated how the author didn't make either character completely wrong in their initial positions. The slow burn was delicious, and when they finally got together, it felt like a real partnership forming. The epilogue was perfection!
